Mill decks won’t be a possibility for Runeterra at launch, which is a plus for anyone who hates the slow, interruptive decks and classes from Magic and Hearthstone. There’s a preview option that lets you see the end result of a combat, which makes complicated board states easier to parse. There’s some extra features that are nice to have as well. The mana is stored by simply passing when you have the option to play a card, and turns end when either player can’t or chooses not to play. You can bank up to three mana for casting spells, however, which is handy if you get some damage through on your attack phase, switch over the next turn, and need a little bit of extra mana to clear the board on defence.

I am or was also a very long time mtg player however gave it up because i did not like the power curve direction the game was going in with the Planeswalkers.None the less that doesn't matter ,what matters si that i had a long time vision of where this genre would go in the online phase.I was teased with a very short glimpse when SOE made an online tcg.Since then i have not seen any developer put in much effort,very slack effort is more like it and not allowing the cards to be in OUR hands,you know the people who paid for them.ĭesign a world 'a good one,not a cheap one' using 3d figurines of the cards instead of these cheap boards.Build the game using real rpg ideas like armor and weapons and buffs,debuffs,pets etc etc.Allow us FULL control of our cards,we can trade them,sell them buy them,whatever we want,we pay for them so why not.League of Legends is going mobile, and along the way it’s taking a crack at Magic: The Gathering and Hearthstone.

Runeterra is still an ugly board,these devs can do MUCH better,there are NO excuses.period.

There is an ENORMOUS amount of difference in cost when comes to actual paper cards,making them,delivering them compared to online pictures.Then because our cards are controlled and not in our hands,you can begin to see how greedy and how much money these tcg's are making. MTG was not only the first but imo the best and by a lot.I have no problem with drawing mana it keeps deck building in check and adds another layer to deck building.IDK about the online version but in mtg we get to actually OWN our cards,go figure eh,we own something we paid for.This is NOT a trend in online tcg's where we are pretending to buy but in reality are licensing the USE of pixel cards.
